WHO WE SUPPORT

Humanist Aid Australia is presently supporting two projects provided by humanist organisations in Uganda.

When choosing projects we consider the kind of impact they make in the lives of the people they serve and look for those which deliver opportunities for substantial, long-term, positive change.

Of course we also choose charities that have no overt or covert religious affiliation, and no hidden agendas.

Donations to Humanist Aid Australia are currently supporting the work of the Humanist Association for Leadership, Equity and Accountability (HALEA), the charitable arm of the Ugandan Humanist Association. Specifically, we are supporting the Pearl Vocational Training College, located in the rural Lwengo District, which mostly supports young women, many with children, to enter the workforce or establish their own business.

We also raise funds to provide scholarships to the Isaac Newton High School, a humanist school in Masaka District, Uganda. This is managed in partnership with the UK based Uganda Humanist Schools Trust.
